I have this friend, well not really a friend, a friend of a friend's acquaintance. Just met this guy a couple of days ago. Anyways, so while we were at the gym training some of dem big power cleans and shit, my friend brought this dude to train with him. I'm like where did you get this dude man. So while I was doing my shit, this dude was like talking to me and my friend about how we could lose weight and get healthier and he continues on rambling about this shit.
Turns out this motherf**ker is a herbalife distributor and I feel that his sole purpose in the gym is to sell us his shit. This dude was like a die hard ignorant herbalife hardcore bastard. I'm not saying that all of them are. But this dude was. Soo this dude went on and saying stuff like Herbalife is the super health food, heck at 1 point he said that it's better than food. Now I'm the type of person who loves my food and nobody's gonna say that food is bad for me. To make matters worst he also said that his herbalife is NATURAL FOOD. I'm like what the F**K!! Anything that is powered or basically has undergone any kind of processing to me is either a supplement or processed garbage.
I personally believe that food is good for you. Just eat the right food, Right food ain't hard man. Get your carbs, veges, and protein, you all good man. This is not rocket science. If you can get good food then you don't even need supplements. The point of supplementation is to supply enough of what you need into your body. For example, if you're a bodybuilder, you eat 8-10 times a day. Lets say you need like 1000g of protein in your daily diet. Can you imagine how many eggs, chicken, fish, beef you need to eat a day. Not forgetting your tight meal schedule and your workout schedule. You don't want to eat your brown rice and chicken breast 30 minutes before hitting the gym. You might puke in the gym floor. This is the reason why supplements came into existence in the first place. You should never drink a protein shake 20 or 40 times a day and not eat. Trust me you will feel like shit.
I have nothing against supplements, I take them, I have nothing against herbalife, I think they're just like any other supplements if not more expansive. You can tell me that David Beckham or Lionel Messi drinks herbalife 40 times a day and I still wont believe that shit. They probably say they do that shit because it's part of their endorsement deals. Bodybuilders sure do that kinda shit. All they want to do is sell as much shit to you so that they get their asses paid. Well at least bodybuilders don't tell you that supplements are better than food.
This is just my honest opinion. The end of the day, you decide what's good for yourself. Get Big Only on Supplements. Fantasy.
